Ryan Lossius

Ryan received his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law. He graduated, cum laude, from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise and sport sciences.

Before joining the firm, Ryan was a partner at a large, national insurance defense firm, where he was a member of the firm’s professional liability defense practice and focused in the areas of long term care and medical malpractice defense litigation. Additionally, he spoke on risk management and documentation and frequently provided in-service training for clients on issues of documentation, risk exposure, and other requested topics. Ryan previously served as an assistant state attorney with the Pinellas County State Attorney’s Office in Clearwater, Florida. From 2004 – 2010, he handled an extensive caseload of misdemeanor and felony cases, including more than 50 trials as first chair attorney. He also handled and attended Baker Act hearings and supervised local ordinance violations.
